Tic Tac Toe is a game that people have bean playing for generations .. it is originally played as x's and o's ... but here is a diffrent version ...with numbers.. its fun and beneficial to play and easy to make .
First time I saw in a book , I made it with a paper I tore out from a note book , but it gets a bit annoying if you have to make one every time you feel like playing it , so I thought of making one like this...
I will explain how to play then the way to make it in simple steps .
how to play :
Two people play_ one is "odds" one is "evens". You play on a grid 3x3 and "odds" starts. The aim of the game is to make a line adding up to 15.
this line can be the first to do so wins.
It looks like a very easy game , but don't be fooled; it can take longer than you think!
You will need : cardboard ( I used a cereal box) , paper ( I used 3 diffrent colors)
a marker, a ruler , Sellotape, scissors and a pencil .
This is how you make it :
1. on the cardboard draw a big square, it depends on what size you want your game to be, and draw 9 little squares. the little square's size has to be third the size of the big one .
here I made the big square 12x12 cm and the little squares 4x4 cm.
2. now you need to draw squares on the paper and cut them out to cover the cardboard squares, every square has two sides to cover so you cut out 18 little ones and 2 for the big square .add 1mm to every side of every square so that when you cover the cardboard it doesn't show .
I used orange fo the big square , yellow for the "odds" and green for the "evens" .
3. the next step is to draw ...
use 5 squares for the odd numbers (1,3,5,7,9) and 4 squares from the other color for the even numbers (2,4,6,8) .
on the big square draw a gird with 9 squares as shown above .
4. You can laminate to protect , or cover with sticky plastic.
I had neither of them , so I just used a big roll of sellotape :)
Do the same with the big square ; the cardboard between the two orange papers and cover with sellotape.
5. trim the sides neatly.
and you are done !
